Lashes?

Can anyone please give me like the step by step for applying my own faux lashes? I bought 3 different kinds, a thing of clear lash glue it has a tiny little applicator. First I tried to apply the glue to the strip on the lashes and I waited a little bit like it says but I just could not get that thing in the right spot. Then I tried applying the glue to my lash line and putting them on that way. It was a little better after much moving and squeezing them as close to my lash line as possible. Then I had to remove them after like 2 hrs bc they were pulling my skin on my eyelids. It was weird. I guess I got the glue all over? Now I'm picking glue out of my lashes and a lot of my lashes hands fallen out. HELP PLEASE 🙏
