Changi Airport midnight layover landside

I have a layover at Singapore Changi Airport from midnight till 7:30 am (flight leaves at 10:30am) Because I'm changing airlines, I'll need to exit after bag pickup and won't be able to go back inside because early check-in is not available at that time. All the landside hotels I've seen are ridiculously expensive and landside lounges seem to close for the night. What are my best options? I've already looked at going into the city. That is not ideal, as ride times take away 40 to 50 min total of rest time, but it seems like my best option. It would cost about 100 USD for a pod hotel in the city + taxis. Any alternative suggestions?
