Vintage shopping find. 1890s cape. It’s honestly shockingly spectacular in person.

I was vintage/thrifting in Sedona this week which can be either over the top amazing and underwhelming to a disappointing degree. Within 3 minutes of being in a consignment shop, my husband was like babe… I think you are going to die. Then holds up this cape. 💕 The quality of this entire thing is overwhelmingly spectacular. Not a stain… not a loose thread… just perfect outside of the tag being removed.
Did I need it? No… positive how and when I will actually wear it… figure that out in the future.
For right now, my bestie and I are playing dress up 💕

The story of this cape was so cute (I such a dork for a good story around garments … if it doesn’t have one, lie to me. Seriously lie to me. Make one up) 😭
But the quality of this piece… is anything from this timeline going to make it 130 plus years?!?
