Safe way to travel from Taman Negara to Perhentian Islands (Malaysia)

Hi everyone, I'm currently in Malaysia and want to travel from Taman Negara (Kuala Tahan) to the Perhentian Islands next week. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get there.

I've read that Han Travel and NKS offer a shuttle service with minivans to Kuala Besut Betty, from where you can take a bus. However, I've also read some scary reviews online. 🫣

Has anyone had a good experience that could reassure me, or does anyone have an alternative idea?
