"It's a urban legend"

I have had chickens for years and every year I buy more chicks. I asked the lady at Wilco if I can check their wings before buying them and she said "no, we cant show their wings" I said I'd rather check to make sure im getting hens because I have enough roosters. She said checking feathers is a "urban legend" and doesn't work anyways.

🤣 does anyone else use this method of checking wings? Its what ive always done with success.
