What do you think about hair straightening brushes?

I have fine, low density hair. When I use a flat iron, my hair looks nice and smooth, but it also makes it very obvious that I don't have much hair.

I'm terrible at blow drying and styling with a round brush, so I've been looking at the Remington straightening brush as a possible alternative.

Has anyone with fine, low density hair tried it? Does it add any volume, or does it make hair look flatter like a regular straightener?
