Best places to travel in late August

Hi!

I’m planning my 25th birthday trip with my mom and I’m looking for a bit of advice on the best place to travel to. It’ll be a ~4-6 day trip in late August (the last few days to be a bit more specific), and we’ll be flying out of NYC if that helps. We’ve been debating on Japan, Thailand, Peru, Aruba, or somewhere in Europe. For those who have visited any of these places, I’d love to hear your thoughts and we’re also open to suggestions for other countries as well!

We mainly want good weather, walkable and not highly uber dependent, good food, and fun activities like feeding animals, sightseeing, water activities, horseback riding, shopping, etc.
