Taiwan in July?

I’m considering going to Taiwan for a week with my friend on 16-25th of July. But when researching the weather apparently it’s really really hot and rainy, I went travelling for six months before all over Europe and Asia and experienced some pretty bad heats, but I’m still not sure because I’m also quite low on money. The flights there and back are only looking like $1000 and accommodation and food look quite cheap too. I’m just wondering if it’s gonna be absolutely unbearable with the heat, if I should save for future trips instead? Or just go for it. I’m in Uni so probably wouldn’t be able to Travel for the rest of the year after this. Appreciate any advice thanks :)
