What was your first impression of India?

As an Indo-Canadian who recently visited India, I was impressed by how modern the Mumbai airport was, along with the rapid infrastructure development in the city. Obviously a lot of India is still underdeveloped, but they seem to be making progress in many areas.

Was anybody else also impressed by certain parts of India, or just had a moment where it wasn’t exactly what you expected?
