lash clusters on outer corners only?

Hi! Has anyone tried applying lash clusters, but only on the outer corners? I'm thinking of doing this with a natural style cluster, only a tiny bit longer than my natural lash to give a fox-eye effect. I just don't really like the upkeep for regular clusters/extensions lol
