This was the most hilarious day as a chicken owner to date. I could post a video of each hen in a literal flap.

In case this is new to you, saddles prevent hens from being harmed by mating. As you can see, Gary Cheeseman is a behemoth, even though very sweet and gentle. I do not want to get rid of him just because he's big.

I lost a hen a few months ago after a scratch under her wing became infected, then she got heat stroke and peritonitis.

We can't avoid everything but I think these saddles are in everyone's best interest.

Anyway, after 5mins everyone got used to their new outfits and the kerfuffles were over.
