Clothing for the self at home: loungewear and PJs. What do you do to feel stylish?
I made a halfhearted attempt to create a loungewear section in my wardrobe but it did not land as I did not buy enough pieces and on top of that it was below average quality.
To be honest, dressing at home seems to be more of a dilemma than going out. I need to find loungewear that:
Can handle spills and stains of various food and drink
Can be thrown in the washer without a care and not require delicate handling
Is comfortable moving from housework to reclining in bed
Is season appropriate - like cosy for winters and airy light for summers.
Is stylish to promote good self esteem.
FFAers, what worked for you? What style did you decide for the home? (E.g. offduty goth casual, Manhattan apartment lady, busy mother but make it elevated). Where did you buy it?
As for PJs, I have found out any kind of synthetic/blend sets are horrible for lack of breatheability. They trap BO too. I would rather buy 2 luxury sets of natural fibers and alternate.
Let's use this thread to dress better for ourselves at home!
