Iranian Missile and drone barrage recently struck Kuwait’s naval ship, leaving 4 armed forces personnel injured, according to Kuwait’s Military.

Defence Ministry spokesperson Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan said that the attack damaged many crucial civilian and military facilities across the country, while the shrapnel fell in several locations.

The injured personnel received treatment and are in stable condition, the military said.

Kuwait’s armed forces also said that they had intercepted a ballistic missile, 5 cruise missiles and 33 drones on Tuesday.

The Iranian strikes came after the U.S launched attacks on Iran, marking another escalation in the ongoing war in West Asia.

Military action resumed after the interim peace deal was signed between the U.S and Iran after the latter targeted a commercial vessel in Hormuz, claiming it used an unauthorised route near Oman’s coast to transit the waterway.

The Strait of Hormuz has become the issue over which Washington and Tehran are unable to reach a consensus.

While Iran claims that it has the natural right to control and manage the waterway with Oman, since both countries share borders with it, the U.S maintains it is an international maritime chokepoint and no country should charge a fee from ships to cross it nor try to control it.
