U.S Navy Prevents 2 Ships From Entering Iranian Ports, 17 Hrs After Reimposing Blockade

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that just 17 hours after reimposing the naval blockade of Iranian Ports, U.S forces intercepted two commercial ships and prevented them from entering Iranian waters.
It also said that America remains prepared to monitor enforcement of the blockade, which was imposed after the interim peace agreement between Washington and Tehran broke down over the control and management of the Strait of Hormuz.
The naval blockade of Iranian ports was resumed at 11:30 p.m. Tehran time on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
The Trump administration had imposed the blockade after a ceasefire was declared in April this year, which led to a sharp decline in Iranian oil exports.
However, the blockade was removed for a brief period after the signing of an MOU between the two countries.
U.S President Donald Trump announced on Monday, July 13, that Iran would once again be placed under a naval blockade after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked several vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S Military also carried out several strikes against Iranian sites while the Islamic Republic responded by targeting U.S allies like Bahrain and Kuwait in the region, which house U.S. military bases.
