I put shelf liner down in my incubator and now my eggs have weird marks on them

Hi, I read that it was okay to use shelf liner in my incubator to keep my eggs from rolling so much, so I cut some to fit the bottom and put it in yesterday. Now the eggs have the lumpy impression in them. I took it out because it worried me but I'm having a really hard time turning the eggs without them wanting to roll out. What went wrong here? Is this just normal and I can put it back in? Or should I leave it out? I'll attach a pic of an egg and also the shelf liner
