Recommendations for casual work clothes that will be comfortable for a walking commute?
Hello everyone! I hope this is a relevant question, I'd love to get advice from people with like-minded values about clothing consumption.
Next month I will be starting a job as an elementary school art teacher, and will be commuting at least partially on foot (I can take the bus most of the way or take a 35 minute walk).
I'm used to commuting on foot, but I still feel like I could add more flexible and comfortable pieces to my work wardrobe. I'd like to get new items, but I want to do so strategically & sustainably: thrifting as much as possible, and looking for small, ethically produced brands if I am going to invest in something new. So that said, I'm curious if you have any favorite brands, fabric materials, or specific items you're fond of and would recommend!
For extra context: the school district I'll be working in generally lets teachers dress super casually. I also run pretty warm and sweat easily, so I'm hoping to avoid fits/fabrics that will result in me showing up to work with pit and back stains. I tend to deal with cold weather by layering lightweight items that can come on and off easily.
