Iranian Embassy In India Calls U.S Strike On Chabahar Port A War Crime

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeli Baqaei condemned the U.S strike on a civilian Maritime Surveillance Tower in the southern port city of Chabahar, saying the latest attacks on civilian infrastructure exposed the collapse of American morality.

In a post on his X account, Esmaeil Baqaei said that the U.S deliberately struck the civilian tower in Chabahar as part of its ongoing aggression against Iran that began on February 28, 2026.

He said that the U.S. Secretary of War proudly released the footage of the tower’s collapse, and if it had been possible, he would also have broadcast the missile attack on the Minab school and the massacre of Iranian civilians in Lamerd with the same pride.

The U.S. also targeted power plants and desalination pumps at the Bunji village pier in Jask, leaving more than 10,000 people without access to clean drinking water.

“For a State that once cast itself as the global champion of order, liberalism, and the war on terrorism, proudly displaying images of destroyed bridges and civilian infrastructure has become its only remaining ‘victory’,” he stated.

Baqaei went on to say that with every bridge, every tower and every civilian facility, it is not just steel or concrete that is being reduced to rubble, but also America’s moral standing and the international law and civilizational claims of the West, which are crumbling before the world’s eyes.

“The question that must now be asked of America and its allies is stark and simple: What is the real difference between what they have done in Chabahar, Minab, Lamerd, and Jask, and the very acts of terrorism they once invoked to justify their wars and occupations?” he concluded.
