Well, as much as I'm savoring every drop of summer, my mind is undeniably shifting to a fall mood—thanks in part to my inbox, already filling up with autumn look books and exciting glimpses of new-season styles from our favorite brands and retailers. We fashion editors are always thinking ahead to the next season, and today I'm excited to share a handful of fall styles that you can already start shopping right now—so you can get ahead of the curve and make some directional shopping decisions in the weeks to come. In fact, most of the items I'm featuring today are perfect for taking you from summer to fall seamlessly.

If there's one takeaway I took from the FW26 collections it's that opulence is in this upcoming season. Designers embraced everything from richly detailed texture, brocade, embroidery, fringe, gloves, velvet, silk, and sumptuous evening bags—looks reminiscent of the glamorous "roaring twenties".

This summer, long sleeve white tees and tops have been in the spotlight thanks to a whole host of cool celebs and fashion people sporting the tee with everything from shorts to cargo pants and slip skirts. For fall 2026, the trend shows no signs of slowing down.
