Tail Feather from one of my boys, is it normal for them to be so messy? Not sure if the pictures actually show it

First time chicken owner. Just wondering if it's normal for the tail feathers to be messy like this. It just came out

I know it doesn't look super messy in the picture, but some of the fibers are kind of messed up and damages
