The Runways Just Confirmed Fall’s Next Big Shoe Trend

The Runways Just Confirmed Fall’s Next Big Shoe Trend

It might be sweltering hot outside, but I’m already daydreaming about autumn. I can’t wait to feel a subtle chill in the air and hear the satisfying sound of crisp leaves crunching beneath my boots. Don’t judge me, but I’ve already started searching for all the fashion trends poised to take over in the upcoming season. Too much? I know.

While scouring the Fall 2026 runways for clues, I came across a very niche footwear style that I predict will be everywhere in the next few months: T-strap shoes. At Dior, Jonathan Anderson sent floral-adorned T-strap sandals down the runway. Coated in shades of deep violet and dusty rose, Anderson’s presentation resembled a blooming bouquet. Givenchy opted for a similar sandal silhouette, but crafted its version with feathers instead of flowers, evoking an undeniably bold appeal. On the other hand, Calvin Klein ditched open-toe constructions for semi-coverage slingbacks.

Although these designers championed T-strap shoes as a fall footwear staple, you can actually begin wearing them now—and I plan to do just that. For laid-back summer moments, I’ll coordinate a pair of T-strap flats with linen pants, a barely-there tank top, and a raffia tote. Meanwhile, for dressier occasions, I’ll choose a heeled option that feels far more elevated. Then, I’ll complete the look with a sleek midi skirt, a cropped blouse, and a vibrant handbag—similar to the outfit formula picture below.
