Looking for MSc Thesis Ideas in Hydrography, Geodesy & Geoinformatics
Hi everyone,
I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Geodesy and Geoinformatics, specializing in Hydrography, in Germany. I'm beginning my search for an MSc thesis and would really appreciate suggestions from professionals, researchers, or anyone working in the field.
My interests include:
- Hydrographic surveying
- Bathymetric data processing
- GIS and geospatial analysis
- Satellite-derived bathymetry
- Remote sensing
- Coastal and marine mapping
- Digital Twins for marine and coastal environments
- Environmental monitoring and climate resilience
I'm particularly interested in projects that have practical applications and involve collaboration with industry or research institutes.
If you've worked on an interesting thesis or know of current research areas, I'd love to hear:
- What topics do you think are promising over the next few years?
- Which companies or research institutes are actively supervising thesis students?
- Are there any emerging technologies or datasets that would make for a strong MSc thesis?
Any advice, recommendations, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
