The 6 Australian Swimwear Brands Every Fashion Person Is Wearing

Lately, on my daily Instagram scroll, I’ve been noticing all the cool fashion people are sporting swimwear from chic brands that all have one particular thing in common: They’re Australian. It makes sense, as Australia has some of the most beautiful beaches.

In my search for the best swimwear brands to shop, I still kept coming across mostly Australian brands. I wouldn’t dare gatekeep all of these labels. Some of them might be familiar, while others might be new discoveries. Either way, these brands have the best swimsuits I’ve ever seen. Now, if you remember anything about the 2010s, you remember that Triangl swimsuit that went viral. It was multicolored with black contrast stitching, and everyone was rightfully obsessed with it. Now, the brand is back in the spotlight with even more viral-worthy swimsuits that influencers and fashion people can’t get enough of. Matteau was founded in 2015 by siblings Ilona Hamer and Peta Heinsen. While the brand has mostly focused on clothing, it launched swimwear last year. Each piece reflects similar design codes to the clothing: chic, minimalist, and timeless. My stylish coworkers can’t get enough of the label’s swimwear. Bond-Eye was founded in 2011 by Steve Philpott and is rooted in a sustainability ethos. The brand incorporates modern ethical production practices throughout its design process. Bamba Swim

FELLA was founded in 2012 by the duo Rosie Iffla and Christine Tang. Their designs are the perfect balance of masculine and feminine. Each design is inspired by the body and used to accentuate it with clean lines and retro, nostalgic shapes. Founded just last year by Anna Feller, Rashi World is rooted in sun protection. It’s a creative way to be protected from the sun’s UV rays. Each piece goes up to UPF 50+ and blocks 98% of UV rays.
