Which dress for engagement?

Expecting to get engaged within a few months here. Wanting advice on which dress (first one is a set) would be better to wear?

I’ve tried both on in store and I personally like the first set more but I do really like both options. However part of me feels like the set is too dressy and too preplanned?? Second dress feels a bit more casual and appropriate so I’m really torn.
