L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is celebrating the 6th annual National SPAM Musubi on Aug. 8, 2026, a holiday created by the local company back in 2021. National SPAM Musubi Day is an homage to the rich cultural story behind the SPAM musubi—from its Japanese roots to its evolution to an iconic Island staple. And the date for the holiday (8/08), is a nod to Hawaiʻi’s 808 area code.
