How do people keep up loose pants without a belt?
Especially with anything in the pockets. Is this just a body type issue? Something about style that eludes me?
Jeans I wear need to be pretty tight to stay up especially if they aren’t higher waisted. I watched a young girl (high school senior most likely) this summer on a tour we were on with comfortably loose mid rise jeans carrying her phone in her back pocket and never having to hike up her pants. It mystified me. I have been losing weight and once my jeans get as loose as hers were putting a phone in the pocket would mean I would need a belt or be constantly pulling them up.
Same issue with anything with an elastic waistband. If I put my phone or anything of similar weight in the pocket I’ll need to hold them up while I walk or risk losing them.
I ask because I would rather not always be wearing skin tight jeans just so they will stay up. Especially in my 50’s. When I wear a belt to help I need to cinch it really tight. Even then it doesn’t always work. Am I just buying the wrong style?
I’m short waisted and long legged and carry all my extra weight in my abdomen. According to charts I’m a rectangle body type but far from the angular athletic type that is usually pictured when that is mentioned. I wear a G cup bra.
You might say it was her age but I se plenty of older women wearing comfortably loose jeans, I just can’t seem to make them work on my body and hope there are other women like me who have cracked the code.
