While many of the big camera companies have largely decided that cheap, simple-to-use digital cameras are just not worth making, an entire subgenre of photography appears to be emerging. The success of other, quirky low-res cameras has, in no small part, contributed to the explosion of low-megapixel digicams currently available. It has created another problem – how many of these cameras are worth your time and an impulse purchase. Godox’s C100 simple-use-digital camera seems to hit all the right notes for the “charmera” trend but with some standout differences. Are they enough or does it run the risk of becoming e-waste in the next year?
