Where are the belts?
I've recently lost weight and am trying to style myself with more care. Since I have a waist, I keep thinking a belt would be cute, but I really have absolutely no idea what kind of belts people are even wearing now. Are they thick or thin, with big or smaller buckles? Do belts have to go through all the loops? Should I wear them over heavier things like sweaters or jackets? Waist or hips or in between? I have so many questions and when I search for belts here, the results that are coming up are crazy old, like more than ten years ago. Surely people are wearing belts now that lockdown is firmly in the rear view mirror. But I'm not seeing much, so I thought I'd ask:
How is everyone styling their belts? Pictures would be amazing. Unfortunately, I cannot share any pictures because, obviously, I haven't figured out how to wear a belt and thus have no belts to wear (except for an old Western belt from the 1980s with a tooled silver buckle and turquoise accents that my mom bought in New Mexico on a family vacation). Please give me some ideas and inspiration. I'm looking for a classic and effortless look, not super body conscious, but with enough contrast to add a pop to my usual neutral look.
