Fashion's Most Compatible Pair? Priyanka Chopra Jonas Proves It's a Lady Dior Bag and LBD

Since the '90s, the Lady Dior Bag, named after Princess Diana, has been the picture of elegance. But when an A-lister wears it with a little black dress, popularized by Coco Chanel in 1926, fashion purists everywhere tear up at such a timeless sight. That was my reaction, at least, the moment Priyanka Chopra Jonas arrived at The Cycle Of Love premiere on August 20, LBD and Lady Dior in tow.

The documentary's executive producer braved the New York City rainstorm in an all-black look. The dress from A.W.A.K.E. Mode was no ordinary LBD, with vertical ruffles adding a visually interesting texture to the sleeveless column maxi.

The former Marie Claire cover star styled the $1,475 style with simple yet sleek accessories. For the finishing red carpet-ready touches, she wore sky-high, naked black stilettos and a quilted Lady Dior.

It seems Chopra Jonas pulled the medium Lady Dior out of her personal archives. She first appeared with the top-handle silhouette seven years ago during the atelier's Couture Fall 2019 fashion show.

While the constantly reissued design doesn't appear to be from the new creative director Jonathan Anderson's collections—there's no bow atop the letter charms, like the new Lady Diors—Chopra Jonas is one of the new era's biggest supporters. This year, she wore custom Dior by Anderson gowns at the Golden Globes and the Oscars. The Quantico actor also attended Anderson's Fall 2026 and Couture Fall 2026 runway shows.
