How a 20-Year-Old Has Spent 3 Years Building Panoramic Cameras by Hand

For the past 200 years, photography has seen innovations that changed the way we view the world; from the blues of cyanotype to the rich depth of silver gelatin, each technical technology cracked open a new form of storytelling. Amongst these genres has always stood apart: panoramic photography. It stretched one's world into long, sweeping frames which no other camera could capture. Early panoramic images relied on swing-lens cameras to achieve a wide field of view, and today, this tradition is carried forward by young, curious Gen Z photographers such as Zalán Tóth. A 20-year-old Hungarian photographer, Tóth's DIY creations are making waves in the analog world.
