How do you dress in fall and spring when it's hot and cold at the same time???

Basically what it says, one day its hot, one day its cold, some days its hot and cold. Or it's cold and the sun comes off and then it's an inferno. I basically have summer clothes (tank tops,shorts etc) or sweaters and trousers. Helpppp and thank you!
