The Tale of Three Binoculars for Bird Photography

I've always been a bit of an anomaly when it comes to photography. For several years, I've said that I'm legally blind -- and that's the medical term for it. And I remember during a Sony campaign that I did to help legally blind photographers, I had to say, "low vision," instead. But the term that I've found to help people understand the most is, "high functioning blind man." To that end, I sometimes like birding and wildlife photography. In fact, I'm currently training to learn how to photograph bats -- which is an insanely difficult task even for those of us with good eyesight. And without very special and uncomfortable contact lenses, I can't see all that well at all. So when I go to photograph wildlife and birds, I often need binoculars.
