What do y'all do with your layers during the warmer part of day?

I know that the typical advice for transitional weather dressing is to "wear layers." But what do y'all do with your layers as the day goes on? Do you leave room in your bag for a jacket? Or maybe tie around your waist?

Also, what about layers that go underneath? This is a later in the year thing, but often fall layered outfits involve putting a long sleeve under a sleeveless dress, or something like that, and the only way to de-layer is to go change. Or when it's really cold, and you might want thermal underlayers to get from point A to point B, but you'll roast if you can't take them off inside.

Do y'all plan your layers to be easily removable and portable, change in the bathroom at the location, or something else entirely?
