I messed up, big time

I messed up, big time

My sweet girl Dottie dislocated her right wing.

I have no idea how. That's one issue.

So I used vet wrap to make her a sling. It was wrapped under her left wing and around her body. She was getting along with it great. Got through the night and next day just fine.

I went to let her and her sisters out of their run for some free roaming time and found Dottie with her back right foot caught in the vet wrap and inside the coop.

I have a camera in the coop and a camera in the run and I watch and check them obsessively. But I didn't today. I don't know why(other than I was in the ER yesterday with my own health issues and was very tired but it's no excuse).

She was stuck like that for hours. I just can't believe it.

I am sick to my stomach and so mad at myself. I removed the wrap and her wing seems better but now she can't stand or walk. I checked her leg and couldn't see or feel anything but obviously something is wrong. She will hobble a little.

Is it possible that it's just sprained and sore?

I have her separated from her sisters in a kennel with food and water. Should I be doing anything else. I'm so worried that my "help" will make her worse. I'm so mad at myself and so sorry for my sweet Dottie.
