Elevated Style: Pairing Wide-Leg Pants with Tall Boots This Season

Old millennial here. I know it used to be common to style with skinny jeans or leggings but with the slouchier and wider pant style, how are you all styling long boots? I can’t wear skirts (long or short), so the skirt plus tights look is ruled out. Also where I live is extremely cold so I prefer pants.
