The Enduring Allure of Elie Saab: Nostalgia and Modern Fashion

Hello I’m asking this to the people who watch frequently designers catwalk or work in general. I have a question about Elie saab work. honestly I love it, it kinda feel like childhood dreams. always so shiny, so flattering, kinda like a main character clothes, very dramatic. And sometimes I wanna wear those.

But I do feel like that among the fashion world, Elie saab is kinda put aside because of it ? Like being too mainstream maybe or less artistic ? I never saw a fashion critic talking about his job for example, and it makes me wonder if in the fashion world Elie saab is not considered as a good brand/designer ?

And I really wonder what do you guys think about it, do you have the same feeling or do you like/dislike his work ? If you have anything to teach me about it I would love it, thank you !
