Chaps or Jeans? A UK Style Question for the Modern Muse

Guys…. I’m having a serious fashion dilemma 😂
I’ve been given these beautiful vintage dark brown suede chaps and, as a UK girly, I genuinely need guidance… DO WE WEAR THESE IN PUBLIC?! 😭
Because I’m trying to picture myself walking down a normal UK high street or going to a restaurant in chaps over blue or black jeans… and I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a woman casually doing this?!
Like, is this actually a thing and I’ve somehow missed the memo, or am I going to get concerned looks from everyone I pass? 😂
And yes, I KNOW we get looks wearing anything remotely interesting, but you know exactly what I mean 😭
So… fellow girls, fashion people, western wear enthusiasts… HELP A GIRL OUT. Would you actually wear them out in public? And if so, HOW would you style them so I don’t look like I’ve accidentally wandered onto a Wild West film set? 🤠😂

I believe they’re quite common Stateside, particularly in Texas and places with a big western/cowboy culture, but here in the UK?! I’m struggling, genuinely can’t see this being a thing in the UK?!😭
